Purpose
This policy sets out Velto Ltd’s position on modern slavery and human trafficking, and outlines the responsibilities of all staff and contractors in observing and upholding our zero-tolerance approach.
Scope
This policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of Velto Ltd, including employees, contractors, consultants, and any third parties engaged by the company.
Policy statement
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. Velto Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery.
We are committed to:
- Acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings
- Implementing effective systems to ensure modern slavery does not occur in our business or supply chains
- Ensuring transparency within our organisation and with suppliers
Responsibilities
The Director is responsible for:
- Overall accountability for this policy
- Ensuring adequate resources for implementation
- Reviewing and updating the policy annually
All staff and contractors are responsible for:
- Reading and understanding this policy
- Reporting any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery
- Avoiding any activity that might lead to a breach of this policy
Supplier standards
We expect all suppliers to:
- Comply with all applicable laws regarding modern slavery
- Have their own policies addressing modern slavery risks
- Allow reasonable due diligence activities
Reporting
Any employee or contractor who suspects modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chain should report it immediately to the Director. Reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.
No one will suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting in good faith their suspicion of modern slavery.
Breach of policy
Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal. We may terminate relationships with contractors, suppliers, or other business partners if they breach this policy.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary.
